Description
There are Rolexes: and then there is the Daytona 116598 SACO. One of the rarest dials Rolex has ever produced, the "Leopard" is a discontinued collector's grail that almost never surfaces in prestine condition.
The story
Introduced as part of Rolex's iconic exotic-dial Daytona series, the 116598 SACO takes its name from the combination of Sapphires And COgnac tones woven through the bezel. Where the legendary Rainbow Daytona dazzles with a full spectrum of colour, the Leopard plays a quieter, wilder game — a spotted dial in warm browns and ambers, flanked by 36 baguette-cut orange sapphires set into solid 18k yellow gold. Rolex discontinued this reference, making surviving examples increasingly difficult to find and, in prestine condition, almost impossible.

Why it matters
